What it is
A measured read of how fast the presence loads, how much energy and carbon its operations release, and how much each of those costs. Speed, carbon, and cost belong together because the choices that lower one usually lower the others. A page that loads quickly burns less carbon and costs less to host. A site bloated with third-party scripts is slow, energy-hungry, and expensive at the same time. The deliverable connects those numbers and gives you the prioritized actions that improve all three.
What's included
- Speed audit. Page-weight measurements, render timings, network waterfalls, and the bottlenecks that account for most of the latency. Mobile and desktop, on connection profiles that reflect your actual audience.
- Carbon footprint. Per-page emissions estimate using established methodologies (Sustainable Web Design model or equivalent), tied to traffic volume so the annual footprint of the site is measurable.
- Hosting and CDN review. Whether the hosting provider runs on renewable energy, where the data centres are, and whether the CDN is helping or adding overhead.
- Asset and dependency review. Images, fonts, video, third-party scripts, plugins. What can be reduced, replaced, or removed without losing function.
- Cost map. What the current stack costs per month, where that cost concentrates, and where it would be reduced by the same changes that improve speed and lower carbon.
- Prioritized action plan. The specific changes that would move the numbers, ordered by impact-per-effort, with the targets each change is meant to hit.
